Rozporządzenie kosmetyczne opublikowane
22 grudnia 2009 w Dzienniku Urzędowym Unii Europejskiej L 342/59 zostało opublikowane Rozporządzenie Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady 1223/2009/WE dotyczące produktów kosmetycznych.

Rozporządzenie będzie stosowane od 11 lipca 2013, z wyjątkiem:
- art. 15 ust. 1 i 2, które stosują się od dnia 1 grudnia 2010 r., jak również art. 14, 31 i 32, w stopniu, w jakim są niezbędne do zastosowania art. 15 ust.1 i 2; oraz
- art. 16 ust. 3 akapit drugi, który stosuje się od dnia 11 stycznia 2013.
